You can use real leaves! They will just stick to the sticky contact paper and probably will pull off in pieces if your child pulls them off. That is also fun to do, just a different experience!

Glad to hear it! Sorry for such a slow response. The black labels are from the container store, metal buckets are from the dollar area at Target or Michaels, and the loose part containers come inside the closeable bin that they are pictured with.
